I was the expert. I still couldn't figure out my own body.

I have a master's degree in nutrition. I'm a board-certified nutrition specialist and licensed dietitian. I've spent my career helping other people with their bodies.

And in my mid-30s, I couldn't figure out my own.

It started with tender breasts before every cycle and energy that came and went. Doctors assured me I was fine. My bloodwork came back normal. Nothing about how I felt was normal.

By the time I turned 40, everything had spiraled. My periods were unpredictable. My energy was at an all-time low. Fat was accumulating around my midsection. Nothing I tried would budge it.

I'll never forget standing in front of my closet, feeling frustrated and defeated. Clothes that used to make me feel amazing didn't fit right. I'd try on outfit after outfit and end up with a pile on the floor that only reminded me of how uncomfortable I felt in my own skin.

The hardest part was that I was supposed to be the expert. If I couldn't figure out what was happening, how could anyone else?

I tried everything I knew. I ate clean, counted calories, drank protein shakes, and worked out harder than ever. Nothing worked. I felt like I was failing.

Then one day, I came across a term I had never learned about, even in my graduate program: perimenopause.

I'm on a GLP-1. Is this still for me?

Yes. Lean For Life is a coaching membership, not a medication program, and it works alongside a GLP-1. The medication can reduce weight while you're on it. The work inside Lean For Life supports your hormones, your metabolism, your muscles, and your food relationship. All the things that determine whether the change lasts. Many members on GLP-1s join specifically because they want to address what the medication can't, and to be ready for the day they come off it.

I've tried other weight loss programs before. Why will this be different?

Most programs hand you a full nutrition plan and help with the symptoms. Lean For Life addresses what's underneath: the hormone shifts, the metabolic changes specific to perimenopause, gut health, and the food relationship patterns that drive the cycle of losing weight and gaining it back. How soon can I start after signing up?

I'm on prescribed medication for blood sugar, blood pressure, or thyroid. Is this for me?

I have a demanding career. How much time will this take per week?
